It seems like just the other day, when I bumped into the Taranaa website while surfing the web. It's over a year now, still enjoying every bit of it - SoM, SoW, contests, arguments/discussions, meets. Found so many friends, heard so many talented budding singers. Above all, learned so much from all of you. Thanks to Taranaa, not only for the tracks, but also for creating this community, this environment; for giving us the opportunity to showcase our passion, our hobby; to interact with each other.
About me? Well, originally from Kolkata, been living in the US for well over two decades (yet a pure desi, all around!), working in IT/IS consulting industry; happily married with two beautiful children. I have lived in the Philadelphia area all along (I guess Pat's steak and the Flyers got me hooked to this place, permanently). Music was my first LOVE, and it still is. Formal training? Naaaah! Except for a Rabindra Sangeet class, at the age of 9, for a whole 2.5 weeks ;) However, I did take classes in steel guitar (you know the kind, which you play with a steel bar and picks) and used to play around quite a bit. It was a constant tug-of-war between the vocal chord and the fingers......the chord won!
