Where there were group singing: We were there
Hello Taranaaites and Sangeet Saathions,
It goes back many many months, since the idea of group singing surfaced. It was no doubts, everyone read about the concept introduced by, thanks to Ali and for sure have had unclear vision of the concept, yet idea itself caught the eye of every member whether one agrees or not. Several months later, on April 25th, Bilal gave a life to this concept not by just re-introducing the concept but by forming six groups each one with a group leader. Thanks to Bilal, I believe that was the very reason it had gone to start to the very final destination with much accomplishment in everyone’s involved.
Those six groups were
1. Sureelay (Group 1) Leader: Vidyu
2. Sangeet Saathi (Group 2) Leader: Shantha
3. Madhurta (Group 3) Leader: Deblina
4. Saaz-o-Awaaz (Group 4): Leader: Ali Shah
5. Tarana-e-Musarrat (Group 5) Leader: Ramesh
6. Dhun ke Pakkay (Group 6) Leader: Khan Sahab
Group 3 & 4 never took first baby steps. I know rest of the groups have their own story in each mile stone of their pathway to finish line. This web portal is dedicated to group Sangeet Saathi for their continued support, hard work and enthusiasm towards seeing an accomplished mission.
Group 1, 5 & 6 have done remarkably well in our first attempt of group singing. Many singers around the world participated in this event, using what ever the pieces of equipment that we can grab onto record our vocals , yet it seems like we all in a single recording studio to create these remarkable pieces. Just wondering, what it would be like, had we all in a single recording studio.
I want to thank everyone in Sangeet Saathi for supporting the event and also Harshal who made this event officially possible and also creating the beautiful track for us to sing alone. Last but not least all the members here at Taranaa .. you all are true inspiration to all of us.
